David Barney Benson
1933-2001
David Barney Benson, 67, of Glendale, Calif., died Friday, March 2, 2001 in Los Angeles, Calif. 
Services will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 7, at the LaCrescenta Foursquare Church in LaCrescenta, California.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn in Glendale, Calif.
David Benson was born on November 8, 1933 to Barney and Ella M. (Hagemeier) Benson in Sterling, Colo.
He graduated from Sterling High School in 1951 and from Life Bible College in Los Angeles in 1955.
He married Colleen "Mickey" Miller on June 18, 1955.
He then served as the pastor of the Foursquare Church in Sidney from August of 1956 until February of 1958.
David then returned to California and worked as a computer designer and programmer for the Burroughs Corporation and other computer companies until his retirement in 1995.
Mr. Benson is survived by his wife, Mickey; four brothers, Russell Benson, Tucson, Ariz.; Roy Benson, Sterling, Colo.; Larry Benson, Gresham, Ore. and 
Lanny Benson of El Paso, Texas and one sister, Carol Ann Capps, Sunland, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
